I want to give away all my belongings and buy a shitty laptop, while I’m at that live in a barrel outside… If the shitty laptop dies, it’s just a shitty laptop.. move on.

Bought a Samsung Q80D in may of 2025, it’s October 2026 and it decides to die in a ceremonious fashion during a Sri Lankan cricket match (that we were winning for a change)

I don’t care much for cricket. My dad who came over was not so pleased.

It’s a panel failure, fixing it cost as much as the TV; with no significant warranty. I don’t think that’s a smart move. Couldn’t find any definitive details if this is a common failure, bad luck of the draw.

Does not feel great, didn’t plan to buy a new TV anytime soon. Was happy with what I had.
